Vivian Serafina (LoNano) Jensen died at home surrounded by her family. Born on November 16, 1924 in Bronx, New York, Vivian led an interesting and busy life. As a girl, her parents moved to Tuckahoe, Westchester County, New York where she grew up. Vivian moved to Williamsburg, Virginia where she ran the family's interior design shop while Ernest LoNano, her father, was working on the reconstruction of colonial Williamsburg.

Vivian met Dudley Jensen at Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg where they later married in 1954; Dudley was a professor at the College of William and Mary. They celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary last week.

Vivian started her own knitting shop, the Knitting Nook and for years ran the shop, raised their daughter Nancy Jo, and was a vivacious hostess supporting her husband's career in the Coast Guard as well as at the College. Never one to sit still, Vivian was an adventurer who worked at many venues throughout Williamsburg, ending her varied career as a teacher's assistant for the County School System. Dudley and Vivian moved to Bourne, Massachusetts twelve years ago to live in Dudley's family home.

She was a witty and acerbic woman who delighted all who knew her. She threw wonderful parties and dinners where people from all over would congregate and enjoy themselves. Most importantly she was a steadfast, loyal, loving wife, mother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Dudley, her daughter Nancy Jo Weston and her husband Peter, her brother Steve's children, Mari, Pattie, and Dina LoNano, who adored her, brother Frank LoNano and his family.

The family would like to thank Tanice Hunter and Stacey Thomas for their two years of continuous care for Vivian.

A Service will be held in St. Peter's on the Canal Church, 165 Main St. in Buzzards Bay, MA at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne.

Arrangements under the direction of Nickerson~Bourne Funeral Home, Bourne, Massachusetts.
