Stephen Joseph Anctil, 32, of Marston Mills, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at home. He was born in New Bedford, MA and a son of Richard A. and Carol M. (Carter) Anctil.

A veteran of the United States Army he served in Iraq. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Combat Action Badge.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother Joel R. Anctil and Timothy McKenney of Wellfleet, MA. His aunt and uncle, Paul J. Anctil and Eleanor Anctil, Susan Benoit and his late uncle Rene Benoit; cousins, Christopher Anctil, Sarah Ducharme, Brian Espinola, Jay Espinola and Faith Brady. His special friend, Frank Green; his loving beagle "Buddy" and his cockatiel "Corky. He was the grandson of the late Joseph A.M. Anctil, Irene Anctil, Joseph S. Carter and Lorraine Carter.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 12 noon at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. Visitation prior to service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
